Temple’s Wildcats wrapped up the District 13-AAAA North Zone championship in Temple Friday night by beating Corsi cana, 41-6. Temple held only a 7-0 half time lead off quarterback Brad Dusek’s 45 yard keeper and Stan Williams’ conversion. The Wildcats rolled for five more touchdowns in the second half with Dusek scoring two more on runs of 1 and 18 yards. Robert Popeka added a pair of TD’s with runs of 61 and 10 yards and Bruce Ford made the final tally on a Teyard run. Williams completed five of six conversion attempts. Corsicana scored in the final 41 seconds on a 32 yard Bobby Morehead to Ralph Gonzales pass. Temple rolled for 460 yards on the ground and the Wildcat defense limited Corsicana to zero yards not rushing.
