A very pleasant surprise was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cort Sny der Sunday, October 5, in honor of Mr. Snyder’s brother, Bert Snyder, wife and son Carroll Eugene, of Lewis, Kansas, who have been visiting rela tives for the past three weeks. All came with well-filled baskets while they were at Sunday School. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sny der and son Carroll Eugene, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Snyder and daughters, Fredia and Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Snyder and daughters, Dorothy Lee and Ural May, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Fogal, Mr. and Mrs. James Conrad and daughter Alma, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rabe, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Boley, daughters Blanche, Luetta, Martha Jane and Mary Margaret, and son, George, Clarence and Frank, Mrs. Chas. Boley and sons Sheldon and Jo seph, Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Miles, Mr. and Mrs. Arvel Miles, daughter Mar garet and son Kenneth, Mr. and Mrs. Cort Snyder and daughters, Esther and Corrinne, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Miles and daughter Alice and son, Hurst, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Miles, Emma Kopp and Gertrude Jordan. A very enjoyable time was had by all.
