Hans Peterson's store and resi dence are now lighted by Delco elec tric lights. Joe Allred has purchased the lots belonging to Hans Peterson just south of the store. Mr. Allred wil make his home in Riverside. Mrs. James Cobbley and family have moved to Blackfoot for the winter, Mrs. J. 8. McClellan has been very ill for the past few days, but is now recovering. F. T. Halverson is suffering with an attack of stomach trouble. Anthony Peterson and Chauncey Tolman were duck hunting in the Springfield vicinity last Sunday. Lloyd Beems, a twelve-year-old boy, is making his home with F. 8. Fackrell. The boy has a very bad case of rheumatism. A social was held Wednesday evening, under the auspices of the M. I. A.,in honor of Harrison Ison and Edwin LaRocque. The two boys will leave in the near future to join the army. Charles A. Chandler, teacher in the Rupert high school, is the guest of the Ison family this week, Mr. Chandler has also resigned his posi ttion and will enlist in the army. Word has been received that Ferry LaRocque is now in New York City and will leave for France soon. Mamie Halford, a bride of the week, was tendered a bundle shower by the Y. S. M. I. A. of Riverside. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received. Mrs. Sarah Chapman returned to her home in Utah last Friday, after visiting with her son for some time. William Peterson returned Mon day from a fishing trip on Lost river, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Wilson spent last Monday in Pocatello. Ray Taylor has been buying hay in this vicinity for a large sheep company. L. R. Stocking and son Burdette have returned from their stock ranch near Soda Springs. J. J. McAffee and Harry Allen are looking for a place to settle in Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Allen will spend the winter in Salt Lake City. Mr. Allen is delighted with the climate and has recovered his voice to a great ex tent. The hidges and culverts along the Bey railroad are under construction and the grade is being finished. The potato season is now prac tically over, but work in the beet fields is still in progress. Dorothy Cobbley, Bessie McAffee, Harrison and Melvinson went thru the Blackfoot sugar factory Sunday night. Grace Cobbley has been ill the past week, but is now able to be up again. Afton Cobbley is attending the Blackfoot high school, Mrs. Sarah Adams is still very ill.!
