KILLED AT HILLSDALEBat McCarty Meets His Death at Railroad CrossingBat McCarty was run over by a train at Hillsdale, Wednesday. Hewas walking along the track and stepped from one track to the other out of the way of a passing train. As he did he was struck by a train coming from the opposite direction. One of his legs was cut off and his head mashed. He died the following night from his injuries.
