A programme is given below and it would perhaps be hardly fair, where all give their services gratuitously, for ns to single out any individual for special mention, but a word of praise must be bestowed ou the singing of Miss Simpson, and the violin boIo played by Miss Beatrice Simpson. An efficient string orchestra played at intervals under the direction of Herr Peinige, and also afforded the incidental music during the tableaux, which by the way were excellently mounted and reflected great credit both alike on the children taking part and their instructors. Some years ago one of the principal features in connection with these concerts was the singing by the boys and girls of the Board Schools, and we cannot help feeling that the Buooess of the concerts would be further considerably enhanced if they were again given a place on the programme. The following is the programme of the first evening’s performance, and which, with a few exceptions, was also adhered to on the ensuing evening. Part I.—March, by the orchestra; songs, by Miss Simpson, Mr. Cleather, Miss Lucy Griffiths, and Colonel Pyne; violin solo by Miss Beatrice Simpson; banjo duets by Mr. W.
