From Salt Lake to Carson Valley.— The newly discovered route from Great Salt Lake bids fair to be of the utmost importance to the Valley. The route leaves the Lake to the north, gets rid of alkalized Humboldt, obviates the necessity of crossing Goose Creek mountains, and escapes the desert. It is said to shorten the distance some *‘200 miles, and the longest stretch without grass and water is but 28 miles,— We expect that the regiment of U. S. troops now wintering at bait Lake will come thro’ this route early next season, and thus establish it as the principal emigrant road next year. (Eve. Journal.
