Mr. A, Fr* -ik Byrd, a prominent citizen of upper A c cornu r,tiled Tuesday at his home at Teuiperancevllle, hgcd 66 years. He had been In fail-in(f health for several months and his death not unexpected but received with no less sincere sorrow by his many friends throughout the couu -ty. He was ft man who had the conrage of his convictions and with manyexcellent trills of character. His remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Downing* Church, of which for many years he had been an active and consistent member, on Wednesday, Uev. Geo. H. Kavconducting the funeral services.Three sons, Clyde P. Byrd, of Baltimore, Dr Oscar F. Byrd, of Ports* mouth, and Colmore E. Byrd, of Temperance villa, survive him.Mr W. Carroll Moore, principal of the Academy at Accomac C. H, died Friday morning, of typhoid fever, aged about 21 years.The deceased was a distinguished graduate of Washington A Lee UDiversity, and fitted lo every way, both by his high Christian character and by bis literary attainments, for a career of great usefulness, if he hadbeen spared.His untimely death comes as agreat sorrow to ail who have met him during the few weeks ho lived here and everyone sincerely sympathies with his parents in their great bereavement.
