NEW YORK, Nov. (AP)—With only arguments remaining before the case goes to the jury, trial of the suit in which Timothy J. Mara, sports promoter, is seeking $500, 000 of Gene Tunney’s earnings as heavyweight champion, was re cessed over the weekend. After Tunney had completed his testimony in cross-examination yesterday, a series of telegrams be tween the late Tex Rickard and Jack Dempsey regarding the match with Tunney were placed in the record by the defense to support its contention that Mara, who claims 25 per cent of Tunney’s earnings had nothing to do with arranging the Dempsey-Tunney match.
