Frank Hagel and partner claim to be the highest prospectors in the camp, highest, because they are farther up in the air. They are sinking a shaft on the Ester Dome close to the government monument, or at a height of 2,200 feet. The miners are now down to a depth of 50 feet on a ledge about 12 inches in width.
