Mary Elizabeth Connelly was .-born in Dearborn county, Ind., Dec. 21, 1837, and died at Holton, Rip- 1 ley county, Ind., Oct. 29, 1911, at ihe age of 73 years, 10 months and 8 days. She was united in marriage to Henry J. S*tegner in 1850. To them were born four sons and four daughters, of whom two sons lt;nd one daughter survive. At an early age she united with the M. E. Church at Weisberg and a little Inter became a member of the. Christian Union at that place. When the Christian Union was organized at Sunman, she united I here as a charter member. She was a great reader of the Bible and tried to live up to the standard of life which her Saviour set for Iter. She knew well when she was horn into the Kingdom. She was a kind neighbor, a faithful and affectionate wife and a good mother.
