Death of Young Mao.News reached the city Wednesday of the death in Chapel Hill of Green Lloyd, the only son of T. F. Lloyd, who passed away Wednesday morning. Pneumonia wa3 the cause of his death and the end was expected every day for a day or so before it came.The funeral and burial took place Thursday, the remains being laid to rest at Old Bethel church, some four miles from Chapel Hill, about noon. Several Durham people attended the funeral and burial, among these being J. J. Pritchard.Mr. Lloyd was about 26 or 27 years of age and was the only; son of T. F. Lloyd, the owner of the Alberta cotton mills at Chapel Hill. The son was secretary and treasurer and practically general manager. He was edu-' cat^dinthe university and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He went over Richmond to witness the football game that was played there recently between the university of North Carolina and the university of Virginia teams and while on this trip contracted a deep cold. He returned to his home in Chapel Hill only to be compelled to go to his bed with an attack of pneumonia. From that day until his death he gradually grew worse, this notwithstanding the fact that he had the best of medical attention.
