From him the Bulletin learns the following facts: Up to the 20th of October, p the Department bad contracted for the routes f from New Orleans via Brashe ir c ty and Sa bine Pass tri-weekly. Mr. Fitch, of Michigan, contractor. Until this route is m opeiation, the mails will be sent by every steamer and Government transport from New Orleans.— Mail service is ordered on every railroad in Texas as often as it runs, at $75 per mile.Messrs. Sawyer, Higher A Hall have takeu contracts for the following stage routes :From Brenham to Austiu, Austin to San Anto nlo, San Antonio to A Hey ton, Victoria to Bernard Station on the Harrisburg Railroad, Indianola to Austin, Alleyton to LaGrange, Austin to Clarksville via. Waco and Dallas, from Clarksville to Marshal, Shreveport to Navasota via. Marshal and Crockett and Huntsville, Miiicaa to Waco, all of them tri*week!y and from San Antonio to Victoria via. Goliad, Brenhara to Cameron, Crockett to Natchitoches via. Nacogdoches and San Augustine, Crockett to Tyler via. Palestine, Crockett to Liberty all twice a week.Postmasters have been appointed at the termini of all mail routes lo-wit:Galveston, V. Grahn; Houston, J. S. Taft; Navaaota, Verplanck Ackerman: Millican, Mrs. Lofton; Austin, DeNormandie; Lagrange, Patton; Brenham, Alien; Alleyton,Chas. Drew; Gonzales, Mrs. Keyaer; Ban Antonio, ; Liberty,Jas. Skinner; Huntsville, McAllister; Cameron, Mrs. Harmon; New Braurjels, Mrs. Benner; Eagle Lake, W. S. Good.Postmasters have also been appointed for the following Postoffices whose names we have not been able to obtain yet, to-wit: Waco, Bastrop, Victoria, Indianola. Marshall, Shreveport, Boones* ville, Owensville, Georgetown and Belton.“As soon as civil law has been established throughout the State,M says the Bulletin, “ever Courthouse will be supplied with mails, and mail facilities extended wherever needed.”the Postmaster at Galveston sends mails to the offices above metiiioned~~-commenciiig with the 7th inst.—as often as the trains leave. Pre-payment required in U. S. Stamps.W. M. Daily, Esq., has been appointed Mail Agent for the State, and arrived in Galveston on Monday by steamship Morgan. He may be ad-dressed at Galveston or New Orleans ; and is an thorized to receive application* for carrying mails an route* not already established, and for appointment of postmasters.
