Mrs. Emily M. Potter was born on |April 12, 1 8 40, and departed thislife October 28th, 1914. Her funeral took place from St. Mary’s church Saturday, Oct. 21, conducted by her pastor. Rev. Father Style who paid the following tribute to her beautiful life.“We are prating today for one of the oldest and one of the best members of this church. While she was called so suddenly with nt chance to prepare right at the last moment, her whole life from childhood was a preparation for this hour. Her life was one of devotion to duty. She taught her children both by exhortation and example to be good Chris-tians and they remained such up to this time. The other pastors of this church as well as myself, knew of her Christian zeal. There were many things done for this church that never would have been done but for her zeal and earnestness. There was no one more willing to do for the church, though she raised a large family and worked for them, she had time to devote to church work. Theconditions of society in this country would be different if there were more women possessed of her zeal and earnestness. She is survived by her husband and three children, Geo V. Potter of Madisonville, Mrs. .1. lb Teasdale of Kansas City, W. .1. Potter of Middletown. Thirteen grandchildren. two brothers, Frank and Edward Moran, of Cleveland, and one sister, Mrs. Martin Miller of Delaware.
