Clarke, of Toronto, managing directing of the Excelsior Lifo Association, has resigned.Last August the mail bags between Fernie and McLeod was robbed, and an investigation has been going on for some time. Just recently the guilty party has been detected. The value of the property stolen was not very great, but nevertheless the tbief will be punished.The Vancouver assize sits on the 4th of this mouth. The cases so far are those of Munro, charged with spreading obscene literature; Mitchell of Stevenson, charged with fraudulently selling goods, and Thomson and Perry, colored men, charged with criminal assault.
