When n seccBMonisl can Bhow that he haa shot or shot nt n Union man, or destroyed Union roan's property, his compatriots collect about and make him take the oath upon a paek of cards or a brick-bat. They think its a good thing, and we think so too. There is something irresistible funny about it, and wc are only surprised that the rascals had wit enoi gh to avail themselves of the fuu it suggests. We are told by a federal officer who bad just arrived from Burning Springs that nil the rebels in that county will walk up in a body nnd tak« the oath every day for a week if permitted to do so.
