Confronted with the testimony of other informants, Willie L. Jones, 30. of 25100 Lincoln avenue, ITay-waici; Wind his wife, Mandy R. Jones, 25; Lorenzo Eastland, 27, 25140 Adams .street, Hayward, Conner la tor confessed to deputes that lie had toid a falsehood about the theit of his car because his driver’s license had been taken away fiom him as the rnsnlL of aorevinus accidentConner was in the car with Walker and an unidentified deaf mule when the accident occurred, but had left the scene to go to Russell City, he saidMr and Mrs. Jones witnessed Lhe accident as they were trailing the Conner machine, and Mrs. Jones drove Conner, Walker and the deaf mute to Russell City, according to Mrs. Jones testimony.
