McCorkle which occured at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cloyce Beard, at Flint, Michigan, on Wednesday November 5th, 1930, where he had recently gone for a visit. A complication of diseases- caused his death.He was born November 11th, 1846 in Anderson township, on the farmgcmi16thiniBihaqugastcheMiChwiwinow known as the David McCorkle. f01 .farm, where he resided until March'ala1st, 1895, when he with his family moved to Glenwood. There he operated the McCorkle Hotel for several years. Later he purchased the hotel at Carthage and for a number of years was proprietor of this hotel. While residing there the death of his wife, Mrs. Emma Evlyn Charter McCorkle, occurred May 12, 1916.He later moved to Indianapolis where he was employed at the Y. M. C.
