EMMA SHUMMDIED THURSDAYW*H Known Resident of Clarksburg Community Succumbs to A Complication of DiseasesSURVIVED BY TWO CHILDRENMrs. Emma Shumm passed away at her home in Clarksburg Thursday morning at 10:50 after an illness of several months. A complication of diseases caused her immediate death.Mrs. Shumm was the daughter of ' Christian and Sophia Meid and was born near Laurel, Franklin county, November 20th, 1872.November 23rd, 1897, she was united in marriage to the late Alvin C. Shumm, of Clarksburg. To this union two children, a daughter, Inez, and a son, Alvin, were born. The deceased united with the Clarksburg Methodist church and was ever faith ful and loyal to the Christian cause.Those who survive to mourn her loss are ** the mother, four brothers, and two sisters, the son, Alvin of Bloomington; the daughter, Mrs. Richard Vanderwalle, of Cincinnati two grandchildren, Ruth Ann and Delores Shumm.The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Methodist church in Clarksburg in charge of the Rev. E. F. Riley of Greensburg, and burial will be made In the cemetery at Clarksburg.i
