Hayden, age 22, a member of the Structural Iron Workers_ ff g ifof Duluth, was electrocuted last Thursday afternoon while working on a steel junction tower of the Great Northern Power company near No-peming sanitorium.The young man came in contact with a. 33,000 volt wire and was knocked to the ground by the powerful charge dying a short time later. Members of the crew in which Hayden worked ran to Ms assistance and worked over, the body for more than one hour, but without success. ''*1 heard the wire snap,” said Herbert Hanson, .a chum of Hayden’s who was on the tower but a few feet distant, “and I turned quickly, tfarry was in midair, I do not know how the accident happened.”The men were putting iu steel bridges between junction towers. The accident happened not far from No-peming on the Gary road.Harry Hayden lived with his mother, Mrs. Robert Hayden, Flat 1, Miller . block, 1801 West Superiorstreet. He was her only son and was loved and respected by all who enjoyed his acquaintance. The funeralwas hold from St. Clements Catholtc churchr-Monday last, at 9 o’clock.
