Get Sixteen DeerNorton Miller, Freeman Syron and Mike and Ben Laier. of Nez-perce, and Clarence and Charles McCully, Ed. Juid and “Smoke” Skewitzky, of Kooskia, made up a hunting party that returned yesterday morning from a 24-days’ hunt in the Sel way country 96 miles east of Kooskia. They bagged 16 fine deer, besides many fish and plenty of birds. The deer were of the black-tail variety and the Nezperce boys brought home six fine pairs of horns, five being four-point, and one five-point, and the hoods for mounting. These bear mute evidence of the success of their great hunt.—Herald.
