Better Babies Content.Tin*. Better Babies Contest which opened yesterday is one of the great features of the Stale Fair. There were examined and tested by rub-thirty babies yesterday and as manytoday. The first baby tested yesterday was Catherine Avery, the prel'v daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. 11. Avery. There are two hundred entries of boys and girls ranging from one to three years. The awards will not he announced until all the entries have been examined, and the reports thereon submitted.This oxhibt, nr rather lest, is unlike the baby shows of the past when, the awards have been frequently assigned to the best dressed contestant whose parents had influential friends who could persuade the judges in their decision.From the Better Babies exhibit each baby must be guaged by a fixed score. To secure the awards the Better Babies will receive impartial recognition.
