Two hours after her release from St. 1.tike's hospital, where she has been a patient for 1-days. Mrs. W. R. Heitzol. W170 Third avenue, was arrested on a charge of bigamy, sworn by by James I’ayea. by Detectives Chester Edwards and 1’. J. Bucholz. Mrs. Heitzel is 19 years old and admits having been married three times.According to Payea. husband No. 2. and her own admission, she married Ronald McGregor, a member of the Canadian mounted police, at Edmonton. Alberta, April 17. 1909. when she was 15 years old, but with the consent of her parents.On July 11, 1910, at Calgary, under her real name, Grace Meredith, she married James Payea, a cook, she savs. Marc 4, 1913, in this city, she married, under the name of Grace Meredith, William R. Heitzel. captain of waiters at Davenport's restaurant. They have resided at the Third avenue address for five months, having furnished the place as a permanent home.I never expected this, said Mrs McGregor-Payea-Heltzel as she lay on a cot in the detention ward of the women's jail last night. 1 knew Payea was in Spokane, as I saw him on the street, hut 1 did not think he would plav such a trick on me.
