Shortly after leaving the bridge on the other side, Schwedes claims the horses started on a brisk run and while attempting to set the brake he fell from the wagon. At first it was thought the man’s leg was broken and also that he was injured inter nally. The police ambulance was tele phoned for and Schwedes was taken to St. Mary’s hospital, where it was found that he had received only a slight bruise on the right knee. The team was brought safely back to Quincy and put up at the Planter’s hotel stables. Schwedes called for the team this morning and left for his home feeling none the worse as a result of the fall.
