Finlay, secretary of the Board of Trade, is in receipt of a letter from Mr. James Buylis, owner of the Stair Coal Mine pioperty, in which he states that he lias acquired the whole of the property. He adds that the tests of the clays from the mine have so far been very satisfactory and that he will not re open the mines until he secures sufficient capital to work both the clay and coal deposits, which he, however, expects to do swun.
