Mrs. Sarah Anthony, of Genesee, whose death in California, on the 1st inst., is an* nounced, will be mourned by a large circle of friends. She was a woman of very high character, and was for many years a very positive influence for good in the community in which she lived. She served the people of her district for nearly two years as a member of the school Board, which important trust she was obliged to resign on account of failing health. The Standard will have more to say of her next week.
