Rodriguez was the guest facilitator, sharing with the students the wealth of information and experience as the U.S. Pacific Fleet Master Chief.The CMC/COB course is a capstone program that provides selected personnel with “just in time” learning experience designed to help them further develop the unique perspective and special skills needed to serve as vital members of their command's leadership triad: “Commanding Officer, Executive Officer and the Command Master Chief.” Building on the foundation of the Navy Leadership Competency Model, the course utilizes both facilitated seminars and comprehensive groupcase study analysis to achieveits objective of preparing CMC/COBs for the most demanding assignments in the Navy.In addition to facilitating the course, Master Chief Electronics Technician (SS) John Self, the CMC/COB course manager, also coordinated the trip toCMC/COB, Page 13
