28.The Transcript, Monday, November 5, 1973 Mrs. John Culpo, 80, native of Italy Mary (Lora) Culpo, 80, of 100 Furnace St., widow of John Culpo, died at 5:10 Saturday morning at the North Adams Regional Hospital where she had been a patient since Oct. 28. She was born in Valdagno, Province of Vincenza, Italy, Oct. 21, 1893, a daughter of the late Silvio and Angela (Bisazza) Lora, and attended schools there. She came to the United States and North Adams in 1906. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church. Her husband died Aug. 21, 1960. She leaves two sons, Tito J. of Pitt sfield and Angelo Culpo of this city; two grandchildren, David J. Culpo of Pitt sfield and Mrs. Edward Lloyd of Schenectady, N.Y.; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Rep. Silvio O. Conte of Pittsfield, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Funeral services were at 10 a.m., today, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church, with the Rev. John T. Cain, pastor, as celebrant. Hector J. Pelletier was organist and at the offertory sang ‘Precious Lord, Take My Hand.” The offertory gifts were presented by two great-grandchildren, Colleen and Stephen Lloyd. Burial was in the family lot in South view Cemetery with Father Cain of ficiating at the service at the grave. Bearers were Cong. Conte, Anthony and Joseph Lora, both of this city, Silvio Lora of Williamstown, Angelo Lora of Pittsfield, and George Rescia of Springfield. Friends who wish may make donations in Mrs. Culpo’s memory to the St. Anthony’s Parish Building Fund. The Flynn Cagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
