Student Body Blazes With School Spirit(Continued From Page 1)“Yea Money .... we are with youcoach. ...”Classes were discontinued for the day and at once, as if by magic, the college bell began pealing its victorious clang. Residents who live near Shurtleff, were reminded that the students have school spirit that can not be excelled in any college. The coals of school spirit, that had almost refused to glow, were ignited and set ablaze by barrels of human fuel oil . . . . the student body. The holiday had its origin in the chapel building where a student bodyare looking lorward to attending tne national conclave next spring. In 1936, fifteen members attended the conclave which was held at Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and enjoyed themselves to such an extent that the entire membership is desirous of representing Shurtleff at the next national meeting.meeting was held. Such cheering and clapping has never before filled those chapel walls. Deafening, but oh so satisfying, were the straining voices of those loyal students who almost blasted the roof from that historic building. If that same inspired spirit continues, the Pioneers have every chance in the world to continue on with victories.
