On Tuesday, November 11, Ar mistice Day, work will be started on the Moore Park and swimming pool that is to be prepared on the Island near the city pumping house, it was revealed by A. G. Edwards at the noon luncheon Wednesday of the Rotary Club. This organi zation, the Lions and others have committees appointed to place this park in condition. The Island was recently given to these civic or ganizations by G. Bedell Moore to be used as a park in the manner designated by the board of directors. The Island must always be used as a park, it was stipulated in the deed. The pilot of land is a little more than six acres. Members of these civic organi zations will either work on the Island Armistice Day or furnish a hand, it was decided. Miss Cathryn Tate, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben R. Tate, was eeected an honorary member of the Rotary Club Wednesday. This occurred after she had furnished music for the club in a program that was in charge of Ren Rev. T. S. Stauffer, 2 am of the First Christian Church. Those present say that the program was unusually good this week.
