Family TroublesAired in CourtOne of the most interesting cases that has come before His Worship, W. H. Chrismas, was heard in the council chamber on Thursday evening and Friday of last week, when one Richard DcCock, of Wood Mountain district, was charged by his stepfather, Desire Lesy, a Belgian farmer of the Arthur district, wilh assault. The evidence as brought out in court was that Lesy returned to his home on Tuesday evening last from Oxbow with a jag of booze on bis person and a load of coal in his wagon box. Upon his arrival home be began to make things rather unpleasant for his wife as well as his visitors, with the result that DcCock gave him a bat on the jaw that for a short time rendered him hors dc combat. Lesy soon regained consciousness and went to a neighbor's residence where he remained till the silent hours of moruitig, when be returned to bis home, and from a convenient rock pile he secured enough miaailes to make the inmates believe that the Germans had invaded. After breaking the windows of the rcsi-dctice without the desired result of routing the enemy, it was claimed that Lesy carried at raw from a tiearby stack and set fire to it, thus smoking them out.
