Sioux City Woman Heads IowaEqual Suffragists,IT MEANS MILITANT TACTICSMrs. Hallam is For Fighting for the Rights of Women and That y Policy W|M Mark the Com- J1; ' ing Vear. •Des Moiaes, Nov. 2.—The election of Mrs. Julia .Clark Hallam of Sioux City, as president of the Iowa Equal Suffrage association, following her impassioned appeal for a more militant policy hereafter, makes it certain that the coming few months will see the most hitter fight imaginable on the part of the women who want the ballot •The radical wing has won out. .The association in Iowa stands committed to the policy of Mrs. Hallam, which is the do or die” kind. In brief, Mrs. Hall a m’s idea is fdr the women, suffragists to invade the legislative halls. One will make a disturbance. She may be arrested. Another will take her place. Slie, too, may be ar-. rested. An attorney will be at hand to ball out each woman as fast as she is placed in 'jail and she will Immediately join the disturbers. „ u-That’s the way to make the legis-: lators sit up and take notice, Mia.
