Correspondent.-—Married at Chobham on Tuesday last, by the Rev. ‘William 8tevens, Alfred Edward Stevens, artist and decorator, to Ann* one of the daughters of Mr. Samuel Turner, the conveyancer, a pious and devout man, and a great chiropodist and extensive dealer in this part of the country-Ten of the brothers and sisters of the lovely bride with their friends celebrated the joyful event at hunt-the-slipper, kiss-in-the-ring, and blindman’s-buff, as in the olden time, with the merry pipe and jocund song at intervals, and the old folks themselves joined in the merry dance of “Sir Roger de Coverley.*4 The ball was kept up tUl a late hour, even after the happy pidr had been wafted to the Pound Cottage to pass the honeymoon.
