Car Races At New Kings Mtn. Track SaturdayKINGS MOUNTAIN. Nov. — Billy Myers, the finest driver NASCAR's Sportsman Division has yet produced, today became an entry m Saturday's grand opening stock car racing program at the new Kings Mountain Speedway.Myers, one half of the famed Winston-Salem brother team, will drive the same Ford in which he created such a stir at the United States Modified championships Sunday in Charlotte. ■Billy astounded the field of veteran modified drivers by starting i 43rd in a field of 44. and speeding his way into the lead. He paced the big jam for 35 laps before being forced out with motor trouble.It was Billy who roared out of nowhere to capture t h e point championship last year in NAS-1 CAR s modified division, and right on his heels in second place was his brother. Bobby. Bobby, who likes nothing better than to defeat his brother in a race, will also be an entry here.Saturday's program will be the first staged at the new Kings. Mountain Speedway, and Pro- ! moter Clyde Hullender is expect-in? the entry list to be crowded 1 with the South's finest drivers.The half-mile clay oval will be! in top condition for the seven- j event program Two 10-lap heat races will be run in the Amateur Division along with a 25-lap feature. and the Sportsman Division will have two 10-lap heats, a 10-lap consolation and a 30-lap feature.Time trials will be run at one o'clock with the first race scheduled at two.
