The Hallowe’en celebration and parade last Saturday night drew the customary big crowd to the streets of this city. There was a deep damping effect to the whole thing however. The fact that all of the floats were to depict some event in history made the entire effect of the parade left to be ex plained to the crowd. This, they had planned to do over a public address system. Just as the parade started the system was turned on and bloody went the works. They had turned 220 volts on a 110 volt speaker and the works were blown up. So the parade went on unex plained but still to those who real ized what was represented in floats the parade was one of the most colorful in the history of the event of the affair. The Grade School band under the direction of Harold Green and the High School band under the direction of Karl Kiefer, led the parade and added much to the color of the evening. The work of making many of th hat was done by Frank Ander eo NYA foreman here. The varr ior whom Frank made to heartily thank him lay i “ntrine efforts in hi work of furrine of the fine float following is a list of con Airated the money for of the evening and a list on prize wienes follows.
