—A dispatch in Saturday’s PortlandJournal indicates that George F, Barilo is married, at Ashland, althoughnone of hie Corvallis friends had beenapprised of the fact. The news is that George acts as a nightwatcbmanat Ashland; that he was going homeearl? Thursday morning and as he thought discovered a man followinghim for an evil purpose; that George 'commanded him to halt, and upon a failure on the part of the former to comply, George shot him, and when George went up to him he discoveredthat he bad shGt his father-in-law.The wound is not serious. The name of the Injured man was not given, butGeorge’e prospective father-in-law ie known to have been Peter Hoover, an old resident of this and Lincoln counties. Mr. Hoover went south nearly a month ago, and be is probably the person wounded. Ho other particulars can be learned here.
