The funeral ot John Mason ou Sunday was one of thr most irn-posing processions we have seen in many a day. The Encampment members of the I. O. O. F. in full regalia turned out, as well as the entire force of the Fire Department and steamers, all ot which were draped in mourning. A touching feature was the hose*carriage with its vacant seat and the horse and carriage clothed in symbols of mourning. The Richmond Band played that grandly solemn peice, “The dead march in Saul,” as the procession moved down Mam street towards Earlham Cemetery where he was buried.
