Fatal Affray at 1 FightBaltimore, Oot 22.A Woody affray oceured on the corner of Fayette and North streets, about two o’elook to day It appears that George Zimmerman, the notorious prise fighter, nod an Irish'backin an, named Hugh Sloan had agreed to meet for the purpose of fighting to settle difficulties of long standing between them. At the appointed time both parties, accompanied oy numerous friends, aawmbled, but owing to a difficul ty in arranging details, Sloan refused to fight Zimmerman then attacked him, * when all hands drew pistols and knives.| At this juncture Jehu Sloan, brother of Hugh, drove up,and seeing the position of Hugh, jumped from his hack.drew a knife, and stabbed Zimmerman to the heart, and also a terrible wound in the stomach upon a man named Muckleby. John Sloan then fled, but waa soon arrested Zim-! merman died almost instantly, and Muck-j leby is said to be in a dying condition, although ho was still auve at last accounts.The Coroner's Jury rendered a Ter diet that “Zimmerman came to his death by a blow from a knife in the hands of John Sloan. 1
