ORDINANCE t{'P»r the appointment of City surveyor, and regulatifig thtiur* veys of Street* and Side Walks.Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of Ciiy of Galveston in Council Convened, That there shell he appointed one City Surveyor who shall before entering upon tl»# duties if bis •Ike, give bond in the mm of one thousand dollars,, with two securities io be approved by the board of Aldermen—conditioned for the faithful discharge of his ditties as Surveyor.Sec. 2. Be it further ordained by the authurity aforesaid, That it shall be the duty of the eity Surveyor when called os by owners or proprietor# of iota or grounds within the city limits* to lay off and designate by suitable ataket or posts, at each eagle, the boundsnes of such lot or gronnd.Sec. 3.
