County teen wins photo competitionHannah Forster loves to shoot her camera hut she never thought her interest in photography were earn her a trip to Edmonton to tour the Legislature.14-year-old Forster got her first camera when she was in Grade 6 and quickly developed photography as one of her favourite hobbies.Now in 9th Grade at Immanuel Christian High School, she said she is always shooting photos.“I take pictures of everything, pretty much.”She recently entered a contest organized by the Lethbridge Public Library entitled, “Caught Reading” and was more than a little surprised when she won in the 13 to 18 year old category.The competition received over 200 entries.Forster first learned of the competition from a poster but thought the deadline to enter had come and gone so she put her entry up on her Facebook account.A friend saw it there and encouraged her to enter the competition. Forster said she figured it was worth a try to send the photo in and is still surprised it won. For her efforts she received a gift basket full of books and the trip for two to Edmonton.Forster said she will probably take her sister Shelby along, as she was the model in the winning photograph, captured reading a book while sitting on a hay bale.She is looking forward to touring the Legislature because she is currently learning about government in school.
