Grace White, has set ured 135 members for the chorus, which has been gathered together upon a substantial basis, owing to the charge of a nominal fee, for membership to cover expenses.The society, at this writing, does not have a name, but it will be duly christened next Monday evening, Nov. ,6th at the High school audt-torivto. where the meetings for practice will be held.Mrs. Herman H. North, who was director. for a time, of the CommunityChorus, has accepted the disectorship of the new chorus, and. Mrs. Melvin Raub will be the accompanist.The chorus has been asked to participate in ttw exercises on Armistice day. and. through Mrs. North, has been Invited by the director of music « c utomivu A-rembly to appear at Chautauqua in competition with b.ngir.g societies of other towns, and to take part in Mendelssohns“Elijah” in July or August of next summer.Mrs. North feels that the chorus will have something fine to work for, and urges every member, and others, who desire to become members, to come to the High school auditorium next Monday night at 8 o'clock sharp.
