Martin spent several days at Minneapolis this week, attend ing the revival services at that place. ‘Miss Ruth Reynolds and the Misses Kelley entertained a few of their friends at a Hallowe'en party Tuesday evening. ‘The Danish Lutheran Aid society will hold their annual bazar in the hall next Friday, 10, afternoon and evening. ‘Mrs. John Booth, who has been vis iting at the Lou Booth home the past week, returned to her home at Cresco the first of the week. Morin Mason had a new roof put on their building on the east side of Main street last week, also other re pairs and painting done. Miss Nellie Prather , a missionary, will have char service in the Methodist church Sun day morning and evening. Henry Fink received a telegy from Denver, Colorado, stating that his son, Manville, was very ill Mr. Fink started immediately. ‘The re ports from there are that his son is holding his own, Mrs. Evangelist Johnson, who has been visiting here the past three weeks left for Minneapolis to join her husband, he having charge of one of the districts in the evangelistic work now in progress there. Miss Ollie Finton entertained about thirty-five of her schoolmates at a Hallowe'en party ‘Tuesday evening. ‘The usual Hallowe'en capers and jokes carried out and a lunch fitting the occasion was served. After which the young people left for their homes with reports of a general good time. Mr. Eastman of Minneapolis, spent Sunday In Alden working for the in terests of the Y. M.C. A. of the coun ties. Mr. Eastman filled the Presby terian pulpit in the morning. In the afternoon a men's meeting was held in the city hall and a union service was held in the M. E. church in the evening. He gave a splendid insight to the Y. M.C. A. work in the city, showing how the country boys are cared for when they reach the city. ‘This was certainly very gratifying to parents who have boys in the city. It is expected that some branch of this work will be placed here. Miss Hall, our music teacher of Al bert Lea, gave her last lesson here Friday. Her pupils regret very much to have her leave as she was a fine teacher. We hope we may be able to secure another one just as good. Miss Clyde Shears enroute from Hampton to Windom and later to her future home in Canada, spent last week here visiting Florence Lang, Miss Anna Nelson entertained in her honor on Saturday evening.
