Horrid Massacre.New York, Oct. £Y.A horrid massacre occurred in West Thirteith street. Two pei sons were mu r-dred and five wounded, it is supposed mortally. The victims are the lami y of Francis Goulding, Esq,, lumber meichan*, consisting of himself and wife, two sons», two daughters, and a servant girl.The sons, aged respectively 9 and 12 , years, nre alteady dead, and the wife isdymg. The others cannot recover.The murderer is the tlio eldest son of ' Mr. Goulding. He has committed sri* ' oide. His motives is said to be revenge, ! he having been detected some weeks ago in the act of robbing his father to a large amount.EXCOJtD BtrpATCH.Young Goulding returned home about eleven o’clock, laboring under delirium, Wtd proceeding to the cellar, got an axe, and went to his father’s chamber, hitting him an the scull several blows with the axe. The father can’t live. Mrs. Goul ding, hearing the cries of her husband, rushed from her room to his assistance, and was in turn attacked by her infuna* t ted son, and was badly wounded, ^i’he . brothers, one thirteen and the other fourteen years old, were next attacked, receiving severs! blows from the axe.— The eldest won’t live. A married sis. ter, with her babo in her arms, was the next victim, but she managed to eseape without serious injury. Two servant girls, who had rushed into the hall, were next attacked, and were so horribly butchered that it is feared neither will live. Both were sent to the hospital.The assassin finally went to his own chamber, locked hina-elf in, aud blew out his brains with a pistol.The Goulding family were highly respectable, Mr. G. was an officer in the Thirteenth street Methodist Church, and well known in the community.THIRD DiSPATCH.Francis A. Goulding, the murderer, is about 19 years of age, and is a dissipated young man. He was let in last night by his father, and immediately went to bis room in the third story, and took off, bis coat and boots, then seizing a hatchet which he had kept in his room, he crept down the stairs. The father had just got into bed, when the son entered the room unobserved and split his scull open. He is now reported dead.Mrs. G. received the next attack, her , *kull being fractured and face bruised frightfully. It does not appear that cither of the parents uttered a scream sufficiently loud to alarm the other members of the family.Two young brothers were next attacked and are likely to die.The two servant girls were next severely injured.The two youngest sisters having their door locked escaped injnry.Young Goulding* s suicide was the first matter which attracted the attention of the police who broke into the house and ascertained the state of affairs.Physicians were called and everything possible*done to aliay the sufferings of the victims.
