Scott Chaney, age 37, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, in Albuquerque, New Mexico following an extended illness. Scott was born February 5, 1974, in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He attended the Tucumcari School System. He had been a mechanic with his first love being a Fire Fighter with the Tucumcari Volunteer Fire Dept. Surviving Scott is his wife, Marcie of Tucumcari and his son, Steven Chaney of Tucumcari; his sisters, Betty Henson and husband, Calvin and Wanda Williams all of Tucumcari, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice King in August of this year. Services celebrating his life will be con ducted in the First Baptist Church of Tucumcari, New Mexico on Tuesday morn ing, November 1, 2011, beginning at 10:30 AM. Active pall bearers, members of the Tucumcari Fire Dept. are Kaylon Lafferty, Scot Jaynes, Mike Taylor, Scott Evans, Gary Don Cooper, and Gordon Runer. Honorary bear ers will be Tommy waevent ue J Tommy Darnell, Sammy Chavez, Rick Reid, Adam Dyke, Danny Chavez, David Chavez, Allen Cashman, Raymond Liles, and Steve Andrada. Interment will follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery with funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari, New Mexico, 575 461- 381.
