Ruth Dayservices heldFuneral services were held last Friday, October 29 at Walker Funeral Home in Clarinda for Ruth Lorraine Day, 31, with Rev Robert Nelson officiating. She was killed in an auto accident west of New Market on Tuesday, October 26.Miss Day was born July 25,1945 at Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Keith Ray and Jeanne Lansing Peterson Sr. She was employed by The Connection in Clarinda, a member of VFW Auxiliary and the Baptist Church.Survivors besides her parents, include a brother, Keith R Peterson Jr of Independence, Mo, two sisters, Jeanne Dingott of Scottsdale, Ariz, and Connie Stoker of Independence, Mo, and Dave O’Meara, fiance of New Market. Mrs Gary (Myra) Ross is a cousin.Casket bearers included Keith Peterson Jr, Gary Ross, Thaine Cabbage, Ralph Peterson, Tom Hibbs and Dean Moore.Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery.
