Ross services/t â–ºheld last FridayLeRoy P Ross, 70 of New Market, died Friday night Oct 29 at Municipal Hospital where he had been a patient for 11 days.He was born August 29,1906, at Bedford, the son of Lemuel and Fleta Besser Ross. He was married to Letha Ridnour in 1928. Mrs Ross died January 28, 1976. Mr and Mrs Ross had lived awayServices held4for John McNuttFuneral services were held last Tuesday, October 26 for John R McNutt,. 97, at Walker Funeral Home with Rev Melvin White officiating.Mr McNutt, a longtime Hawleyville resident, was born June 5, 1B79 in Page County, the son of Eli and Maggie Gingery McNutt. He was married to Sarah Baker who preceded him in death March 18, 1959.Mr McNutt had farmed and in later years had a track garden at Hawleyville. He had been a patient for the past 18 months at Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah. He died there Saturday, October 23.from this area for a number of years, returning to New Market three years ago for retirement. Mr Ross had been an operating ] Engineer, working for Superior j Blacktop before his retirement, jHe is survived by three j children, Leon Ross of Clio, Mich, x Mrs Darlene Teach worth, Flush- ^ ing, Mich, and Jerry Ross of West { Chicago, 111. There are 11grandchildren and 7 great . grandchildren. Brothers are { Cecil H Ross of New Market, and Paul C Ross of Nebraska City, ' Neb. Sisters are Lela Keith, j Shenandoah, la, Alice Glassgow, New Market and Audrey John- | ston, North Liberty, la, and nieces and nephews.Mr Ross was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister and one brother.Funeral services were held this Monday afternoon at Walker Funeral Home with Loren Daly officiating. Shirley Larson was soloist and Lois Moore Organist. Casket bearers were: Jerry Ross, Leon Ross, David. Abbott, Arthur Burnham, Steven Abbott, and Rick Sherman. Burial was in Memory Cemetery at New Market.
