Board of Supervisors has ap-' proved five additional road im-' - provement projects in Montclair*- Chino, Ontario, Loma Linda and ' Redlands to be funded under the Federal Air Urban (F.A.U.)Pro-. projects total 857,000/ with the Federal government pro-viding 628,400,In Montclair, Central Avenue■ will be widened from San Bern-ardino Avenue to Holt Boulevard along with construction of med-• ian islands and the improvement of traffic signals at Benito St., Orchard St. and Kingsley St. To--- tal project cost is estimated at ! - $310 000 with the federal gov-• ‘ ernrnent providing $217,000.In Chino, Central Avenue will •’ be widened from Riverside to -/ Schaefer Avenue along with the ^ construction of curb, 8ut*er* ' • sidewalks and a median divider, - Traffic signals will be located at Chino and Schaefer Avenues and crossing gates will he in--1 stalled at the Southern Pacific :• railroad tracks. Total project■ ' cost is estimated at $420,000with the Federal government pro-:; Viding $294,000,In Ontario, Mission Boulevard will be widened at Mountain Avenue and drainage facilities will be constructed at Magnolia, San Antonio, Vine, Euclid, Plum, and Sultana Avenues. Total project cost is estimated at $105,000with the Federalcovern me nr providing $73,500.In Loma Linda, traffic signals will be installed at the intersection of Barton Road and Campus Street. Total project cost is estimated at $35,000 with the Federal government providing$24,500.In Redlands, traffic signals will be installed at the intersection of Orange and Stuart Streets. Total project cost is estimated at $32,000 with the Federal government providing $22,400.The five improvement projectswill be added to three other raod will be added to three other roadprojects previously approved by the Board of Supervisors for Euclid Avenue in Upland between Ninth Street and Foothill Boulevard, Foothill Boulevard in Rialto between Cactus and Pepper Avenues, and Fifth Street near San Bernardino between Tippecanoe and Palm Avenues.
