Mrs. Machia Dies Hermansville, Mich—Mrs. Kath ry Machia who has been a resi dent of Hermansville for the past year, died Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock at the home of her son, Wil liam. Mrs. Machia was born in Clay banks, Wis., and was a resident of Wilson for 30 years, after which She spent four years at Sturgeon Bay, Wis., with her daughter, Fran ces Jackson, then coming here to make her home with her son, Ars. Machia was born May 13, 1860. Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Frances Jackson of Sturgeon Bay; four sons, Clarence of Wilson, Henry of Wilson, William of Hier mansville and Walter of Long Beach, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Ag nes fellner of Sturgeon Bay, and Mrs. Frances Welupski of Chicago; and two brothers, James Scheuster of California, and Thomas Scheus ter of Long Beach, Calif. There are also nine grandchildren. funeral services will be held Sun day morning at 9 o'éloury at St. Mary’s church with Rev. Father Hollinger officiating. . Burial will be made in the Spalding cemetery, Honor Ball, October last grade — Joan Harrington, Kathryn Jezewski, Gabby Maclach ern, William Kure, Irena Tomasick, Alison Logian. Mrs. Roger Moras of FEstanaba waited on friends here Sunday. Miss Iua Olson accompanied by Miss Mildred Peterson visited with Miss Olson's parents in Norway on Sunday. Mrs. Dave Gendron accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gendron and Myr. and. Mrs. Frank Gandron Were guests at the Sturm home on Sunday. Miss Tauciile Uindberg of Cunard Was on guest of Miss Evelyn Schwartz on Sunday. Leonard Scholz accompanied by his sister, Miss Isabel, spent the week-end in tren River visiting with their sister, Mrs. Z. Mileski. Mr. and Mrs. Peruzzi of Norway were guests at the Povolo home on Sunday. Kindergarten Party The kindergarten room of the local school was the scene of a very pretty Halloween party which was held Tuesday afternoon. — The striking feature of the party was that the entire project was planned and work out by the kiddies in the class. Shopping tours were made by Francis Zimmerman, Shirley Annn Landree and Edward Rossetti. A delightful luncheon of cracker sandwiches and cocoa was served by other members of the class. Tables were decorated in Hallow een colors and arranged with place eoards, napkins tied with candies, and on Jack-o-lantern adorned the center of each table. Each child was happily surprised with: on e witch dressed sticker favor? pre sented by Miss Downer. Members of the class spent an enjoyable afternoon. Visitors m claided Caramen Swanson and Pat sy Goodrean. Hallowe'en Party A Hallowe'en party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Allen on Monday evening. Five tables of five hundred were played with high honors being awarded to Mrs. Harold Allen and Lewis Dani. Law honors were awarded to Mrs. Hector, Landerville and Morgan Rowellings. A delicious luncheon was served with the tables being decorated in Hallowe'en colors. The guests included: Mr... and Mrs. Lewis Deni, Mr. and Wire, George Farley, Mr..and Mrs. Merlin Marrington, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Rowellings, Mr and Mrs. Fred Ga mache, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Hector Landerville, Miss Hazel Saxe, Mrs. Bernadette Zimmerman, William Taranon and Troyd LaCosse. Transportation trends in the fu ture will be toward Henter auto mobiles.
