Four Arts Club Will Present Quartet of One-Act Plays. The Murphy High school theatrical season will begin at 8 o'clock tonight in the auditorium when the Four Arts Club presents four one-act plays. While some of those taking part have appeared previously in high school or other amateur productions practically half of the participants are appearing on the stage for the first time. ° : The first presentation will be “Pandora’s Box,’ a dramatic dance number in which Miss Mary Todd Tate will be featured. Special scen ery has been secured for this act, which will be accompanied by one of the two high school orchestras. Second on the program is the “Boor,”’ by Anton Checkov, the Rus sian dramatist. Those taking part include Miss Janice Cassidy and Hans Richards, taking the leads, and Dave Bauer, Olaf Knudsen, Dorothy Todd and Charles Arendall will appear in the third presentation it being ‘‘The Very Naked boy,” by Stuart Walker. The closing number will be ‘The Florist Shop,’ by Winifred Hawk ridge, in which the following are to appear: Patrina Jermundsen, Sam Murphy, Bernice Lambert, Harvey George and James May. The Four Arts committee has un der consideration several projects which will be supported this year by the proceeds from the plays. New scenery, a stage carpet, an addition al curtain for the stage are among the most apparent needs. Between the acts the high school orchestra, under the direction of Eric Danley, will play familiar se lections, such as Blue Danube Waltz, by Strauss; La Paloma, by Yradier; selections from ‘‘Student Prince,’ by Romberg; violin solo.
