sMontana NewsDENTON WOULD BE SECONDPRIMARY MARKET OF WORLDDenton, Montana, is striving to be known as the second largest primary wheat market iu the world.Another Montana town, Scobey, holds title as the first primary market of the globe, with more than two million bushels of wheat loaded lastyeor. %Denton, this year, according to reports, will pass the million bushelmark and take second place.Denton shipped 197 cars of wheat during the month of September, the total weight being 17,800,594 pounds,, or almost 300,000 bushels. The total amount of the 1923 wheat crop, shipped up to October tenth, was 250 cars, or opproxlmately .3£,000 bushels. It is estimated that-there are GO.OOO bushels on hand in the elevators, which brings the total amount of grain marketed to 445,000 bushels. It is conservatively estimated that this is about 40 per cent of the 1923 wheat crop, which w’ould Indicate that Denton will pass the million bushel mark thisseason.
