The pupils of the public schools Port Simpson and Georgetown were represented by very fine displays of paintings and drawings and great praise is due to the wonderful way in which Mrs. Harding and Mr. Anderson have brought their schools to the front in this particular branch of art.The Mission schools of the town were also represented by drawing and writing, which work far exceeded anything of their previous years' exhibits.A committee of judges had been appointed to examine the exhibits the prevous evening and who deceded upon the donation of prizes.Owing to The North Coast being unable to obtain a full list of the prize winners before going to press, a summary of the different branches of industry, with names of the prize winners, will appear in next week's edition.« At 8 o'clock the same evening followed a very enjoyable concert which was held in the hall above the exhibition rooms, the Rev. Mr. Railey acting as chairman. The proceeds of the entertainment amounted to $75, which, with the $14 obtained from the tea room during the afternoon, will go to make up the prizedonations for the fair.Great praise and thanks are due to Mrs. Harding, under whose direction the following well rendered and selected program was arranged:1.
